Great tag-along for clinicals

I carried this handy little book with me everywhere during clinicals when I was studying pediatrics. It really helps! It has stuff like lung fields and words for different sounds that you have heard when examining the lungs, and more stuff like newborn vital signs (which vary a great deal between rest and awake/crying periods), and immunization schedules, plenty more, too! Just overall a great little (literally) reference tool to carry with you to clinicals.

This is a great reference book for the ER staff on basic Pediatric information that you do not have to keep in your memory file. Easy to look up and then can be cross reference to the Merck Manual or other pediatric bibles.

About the Author
Stephen Hanessian holds the Isis Pharmaceutical Research Chair at the University of Montreal and is also on the faculty of the Departments of Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacology at the University of California, Irvine. He has received numerous awards and distinctions, the latest being the 2012 Ernest Guenther Award in the Chemistry of Natural Products from the American Chemical Society, and the IUPAC-Richter-Preis in Medicinal Chemistry.

Simon Giroux was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He received his PhD in 2006 with Prof. Stephen Hanessian and subsequently spent 2 years in the laboratory of Prof. E. J. Corey at Harvard University, as an NSERC postdoctoral fellow. He is currently working as a medicinal chemist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Bradley L. Merner is a native of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. He completed is PhD degree under the direction of Prof. Graham J. Bodwell at Memorial University in 2010, and then moved to the University of Montreal as postdoctoral research associate in the laboratories of Prof. Stephen Hanessian. In the fall of 2013 he will join the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University as an Assistant Professor.

Nice start but no follow through...

The story started out sweet and adorable and Jack and his blue collar alpha deal was fine but then Daniel's whole... I dropped out of college and joined a gang and I take drugs and lie about it all and let me explain it all to you in one big lump of exposition etc etc etc was all just too much tell and nothing to show for it. I read books to watch a writer play out a scene not info dump stuff I will never get to see like some bad daytime tv soap on a small budget.

So basically the book needed to be twice as long to accommodate all that mess of a backstory or the writer should have kept the story sweet and simple and gone with the whole cute "coming of age" tale that the story started off with..There is nothing wrong with keeping things simple if you do it well.

This is such an amusing story. Think boy next door goes to college and comes back home cuter than before... but with werewolf characters. This was surprisingly well written for a shifter/male pregnancy world.

I enjoyed shy omega Daniel and somewhat bumbling alpha Jack. Technically Jack works on a ranch so there is teeny tiny cowboy element as well, but at its heart this is just a sweet boy next door love story.

Completely worth your time. There are a few typos/grammar issues ,and the storyline could have used some more elaboration in parts, but I enjoyed this greatly.
