About the Author
David H. Barlow, PhD, ABPP, is Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry and Founder and Director Emeritus of the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University. Dr. Barlow has published over 500 articles and book chapters and over 60 books and clinical manuals--some translated into more than 20 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, and Russian--primarily in the areas of emotional disorders and clinical research methodology. His books include Clinical Handbook of Psychological Disorders, Fifth Edition, Handbook of Assessment and Treatment Planning for Psychological Disorders, Second Edition, and Anxiety and Its Disorders, Second Edition. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, including, most recently, the Career/Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. He is past president of the Society of Clinical Psychology and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and past editor of the journals Clinical Psychology: Science and Practice and Behavior Therapy. Barlow is always good.

I first encountered Barlow's work in grad school. I prepurchased this edition because I knew it would be good! I've read that it takes 17 years for researched effective interventions to become mainstream.....I'd like to be a part of lowering that average.
What I like the most about this is the up to date researched effective intervention methods.....

The kindle version is completely useless. It is not kindle-compatible or Windows 8-compatible, which means that through these means I couldn't even open it. I could open it through my android device but couldn't read it though, because it was like reading scanned pages with miniature text.

Worth the price!

Arrived in perfect condition and has been extremely useful already towards my studies as I am beginning graduate school. I have also been able to utilize this text in my internship as well, when I have been unsure of how to move forward in creating treatment plans for my clients. Definitely worth the price!
