R. X. Bird, also known as Ruann Weidemann, is a 25 year old writer living in Cape Town, South Africa. He enjoys dead things and long walks on the beach.Not much is known about his upbringing and current living conditions, but rumor has it he's poor as hell and living in a little cabin with a horse.He can be reached on Instagram (@r.x.bird) and via email (rxbird[at]outlook.com), but prefers to be flown in by airship and wined and dined all night long. �Rabbit Eyes, his first book of narrative poetry, is available worldwide through Amazon and friends, and printed in both the USA and in Europe.With it, Bird tells his story of love, loss and loneliness with charming imagery and prose.�Bird is currently working on his second book of poetry, a novel, and his deteriorating social skills in Cape Town, and plans on doing so forever for a while.

Profoundly Captivating and Lyrical Poetry

As a person who has experienced profound loss in life, I found this slim volume of poetry relatable, moving, dark and uplifting all at the same time. This book speaks directly to my heart and soul. The author has a completely unique, original voice that exquisitely captures the human experience of love gained and lost, passion, and at times just the overwhelming joy of being alive. This is a volume I will find myself reading over and over, writing on post-it's, and giving to friends. This book is a true work of art.

Wonderfully written!

This book is so different from other poetry books I've read on here it deserves a spot on my coffee table. It starts of a bit slow in part one, but then accelerates and finds a very pleasant (yet sometimes dark) rhythm in part 2 and 3. It's simply lovely and strange at the same time, and I'll be on the lookout for any future books from this author.
